The Valentine's Hash( 180th) was on February 11th

Nine 1/2 and Blueballs were the Hares

The run was preceded by rain and then more rain, so it was a nervous pack that gathered finally at the Rainbow Trout. We started from the pub because Breede Village Hall was hosting a Boot Fair, so the initial trail led back down the road towards the hall. Blueballs guided us onto a footpath, but from then on it got soggier and soggier

the newly weds

Pissticide & T-Bar Twin (visiting from Friends of The Mole HHH) led the way as we descended down the hill, slipping and sliding, only to lose the trail. Kingfisher's more eagle eyes (provided by the optician) dragged the runners back on track as the walkers entered the fieild, but soon the newly-weds were back at the front. Kingfisher, Lord of the Farts, Queenfisher, and Sexist only caught them up when they met one the hares - the short-cutting b*stard 9 1/2

mud The runners then set off up a lane, before diving (almost literally) off left onto a footpath. A long loop, complete with bridges over swollen streams in full flood and checks, took us past where the walkers met, and onto the Beer Stop. This welcoming halt was taken on the main road north of Brede. The walkers turned up after 10 minutes, apparently having had Blueballs drag them back on trail after being misled by Puss In Boots and Mud Wrestler!

The walkers were then led back into Brede via a shorter route across the fields, but not before witnessing Pissticide standing knee deep in a seasonal pond, imitating a duck. Then Pissticide, T-Bar Twin, Queenfisher & Kingfisher took the longer trail that led us through more soggy fields, where we had to wade a fast-moving stream, and on past 2 goats that tried to eat Kingfisher's Munich HHH hooded sweatshirt! Then we headed in towards Brede, once again linking up with the hares in sight of the Rainbow Trout and the walkers. So all arrived on time and together - well done hares!

The Hash Circle was led, in the absence of his GM-ness, by Kingfisher. He wasted no time (as rain was always a threat) in doling out rewards for the hares and the Founders, and punishments for Blow Job and Trick Or Treat (gassing during the Down-downs); and Muppet (pocket-billiards). Visiting hashers Pissticide and his new bride T- Bar twin, were given down downs as well. Then it was On-In to the Rainbow Trout for warmth, in a dry area, and food & alcohol.
