The 189th Hash was on Sunday July 15th at Arlington
A 6am thunderstorm woke most of Hastings and a couple of hashers. The foreboding of a wet hash was ill founded as the sunshine came out and Playaway was on time to add to the unexpected. The rain washed out all the chalk and a bit of the sawdust but the smell of beer alone kept most of the pack on trail. A couple of times Dancing Queen was ahead of the runners. The remaining walkers were more than handicapped by Bushsquatter who was navigating. Incredible as it may seem, a washed out trail was easier to follow than one of the Hares.
There was a "Pot Luck" back at BS’s place where there was a great array of food. Before the scoffing began the miscreants were called to account. |
